So this summer, we decided to make one count.
We hired our very first RV, mapped a route and hit the road — Pensacola…. New Orleans…. and Panama City Beach on the way back.
Out of my comfort zone! Ask anyone who knows me… “I’m a hotel kinda girl”.
— Pumping the RV sewage tank… just one of the things I could easily never do again.
— Sleeping 6 in an RV “technically” built for 5.
— And yes — I got left behind at a rest stop…… “Where’s Mom?” 🫣
I wouldn’t trade a second of it. Our journey — this whole emigration thing — is about more than visas and paperwork. It’s about saying yes to new experiences. It’s about making memories on roads you’ve never driven before. It’s about seeing your new country, not just as a destination, but as a new backyard you get to explore.
Here, 50 states, endless places to see and only so many summers to soak them in.
Here’s to road trips, shared bathrooms, wrong turns, laughs, and moments we’ll tell stories about for years.
Because that’s what builds a life — not just the big decisions, but the messy, funny, spontaneous ones in between.
